LAB GROWN DIAMONDS - LABORATORY GROWN DIAMONDS

THE ETHICALLY SAFE VERSION OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL MINERAL IN THE WORLD

Let's be honest. We all love diamonds. But environmental destruction, human rights violations, child labor, mafia structures and a lot of misery tarnish the shimmering shine of these stones.

But there is good reason for hope! For about 15 years, a new technology has made it possible to create diamonds in the laboratory. Unbelievable – but true! And the best thing about it is:

The results are not only breathtakingly beautiful, but also as conflict-free as they are brilliant. There is no difference to the "real" diamonds. Look, feel, brilliance - all the same! But better:

WHAT IS A LABORATORY GROWN DIAMOND?

The most common question we receive is, “Are lab-grown diamonds, also known as man-made diamonds, ‘real’ diamonds?”

The answer is simple and short: YES!

The only difference between a lab-grown diamond and a natural diamond is its origin. As the name suggests, the lab-grown diamond is grown in a laboratory using cutting-edge technologies that mimic the natural growth process of diamonds.

A finished lab-grown diamond is chemically, physically and optically identical to the one we mine from the earth.

Even a trained eye will not be able to tell the difference between a lab-grown diamond and a natural diamond.

BENEFITS OF LABORATORY-GROWN DIAMONDS

🌱 Ethical : It is important to know where the products we buy come from. With lab-grown diamonds, we can be sure that neither children nor forced or inhumane labor are involved. If you want to support this sense of security, you should choose a piece of jewelry with lab-grown diamonds.

🌍 For the environment : Lab-grown diamonds are inherently more environmentally friendly because it takes significantly less energy to grow a diamond in a lab than to dig it out of the earth.

💰 Price : Prices vary depending on the market and general economic situation, but in general, lab-grown diamonds are 20-30% cheaper than mined diamonds.

Numbers in comparison:

  • Natural Diamond : Water consumption for a natural diamond per carat: 476 litres, 2700 kg of mineral waste and 9.2 m² of disturbed land.

  • Lab-grown diamond : Water consumption for one lab-grown diamond per carat: 68 liters, 0.453592 kg of mineral waste and 0.65032128 m² of disturbed land.

CONCLUSION

Even if we try to live exclusively from the things that the world creates in our daily lives, we did not have to think long about the subject of diamonds.

Of course, a natural diamond is a true wonder of nature, and a stone that has grown over millions of years has incredible power and meaning.

But the way these stones are mined and the way nature is destroyed in the process makes the shine of these stones fade for us and makes the decision easy; we are happy and proud to work with lab-grown diamonds.
