  1. General information on data protection

1.1 Legal basis

The trust of our customers is our top priority. For us, this includes the secure storage of their data and the protection of their privacy. In this privacy policy, we explain the reasons why we collect which specific data. Data protection in Germany is enshrined in law and explained in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Telemedia Act (TMG) and the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).

First, we would like to explain the term "personal data" to you, as it is used very frequently in the context of data protection. Personal data is data that can be clearly assigned to a specific person. The following information is part of such data:

name

  • name
  • E-mail address
  • phone number
  • memberships
  • hobbies and preferences
  • websites visited, etc.

Articus (All About Articus) processes this data within the legally permitted framework. This is done in accordance with Art. 6 GDPR, which allows data processing if the data subject has consented to the processing of their personal data (possibly for one or more purposes), there is a need to fulfil a contract or to take pre-contractual steps or to protect the legitimate interests of the person responsible or those of a third party. Notwithstanding this, the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject which require the protection of personal data must be respected.

1.2 Data origin

The question of where it comes from is quite simple to answer: from you. This can happen in different ways. For example, you have a question about one of our products and enter your details in our contact form, or you complete a purchase with us for which you provide us with your details. In principle, it is of course up to you whether you enter data of a personal business nature (email addresses, names, addresses) on our website. On the other hand, our IT systems automatically record technical data as soon as you visit our website. This includes, for example, the time the page was accessed or whether you opened our website using a smartphone, tablet or desktop PC.

1.3 Purpose of data processing

The reason for collecting such data is to improve our service processes and the user-friendliness of our website. Your data is therefore not only processed to process your purchase at Mystitch. By analyzing your data, we also try to suggest suitable products from our collections to you by email. Furthermore, we try to improve our user interface by specifically analyzing your user behavior in order to ensure better and easier use for you.

1.4 Data storage period

Articus (All About Articus) only stores your information for a certain period of time. In the case of an order, for example, the tax and commercial retention periods apply: we are required by law to store all order-relevant data and all associated addresses for 10 years. We delete data that we have stored for marketing purposes if you revoke your consent to storage, the purpose for storing the data no longer applies, or you specifically request that we delete the data. Data that we receive as part of applications is saved for the duration of the application process and then deleted (usually after a maximum of 6 months).

1.5 Customer's data protection rights

According to the law, you have control over your data at any time. This explicitly means:

You have the right

  1. to request information about your data;

These six points are explained in more detail below.

Data processing can also be carried out electronically. This occurs in particular when an applicant sends us corresponding application documents electronically (e.g. email). If an applicant is employed, the data transmitted is stored for the purpose of processing the employment relationship in compliance with the statutory provisions. If no employment takes place, the application documents are automatically deleted six months after the decision on rejection is announced, provided that there are no other legitimate interests of the person responsible for processing that conflict with deletion. All about articus is a sustainable fair fun and fine 18k gold jewelry label based in Barcelona.

"We celebrate moments, we collect memories and we catch dreams to hold them in gold. Today, then and forever."

Elisabeth Articus is a graphic and jewelry designer currently based in Barcelona. After her diploma studies at the art academy in Stuttgart where she studied free graphic design in the class of Patrick Thomas, she founded her label All about articus in spring 2017.

With her endless joy in creatively exploring new themes, she has led her brand in the last years from a playful accessory label to a sustainable fine gold jewelry label that besides design puts a special emphasis on acting responsibly towards people and nature.

"For me, jewelry is more than decoration - it's a beautiful little box in which I collect my favorite memories and moments," says designer Elisabeth, who creates each piece of jewelry in her studio in Barcelona or in her grandfather's garden in Ibiza.

"Something so precious should not only be produced without conflict, but also from a material that can last as long as the memories you want to capture with it," says Elisabeth, underlining once again her decision to produce her jewelry exclusively from recycled 18 fine gold in Spain.
